4 tips for client retention

Hey, boo, hey! Today we are talking all about retaining clients! I’m giving you 4 tips for client retention. Client retention is SO important and a great way to build and sustain your business. 

4 tips for client retention:

1. Quality service

This is the obvious. Make sure that the service or product that you are providing to your clients is high quality. Don’t focus on getting the next client or advertising until you have handled your current client’s work. One thing I do to keep communication open with my current clients is I send out a weekly email to let them know the status of the projects that I am working on and what they can expect. 

2. Client Gifts

This does not have to be expensive. It can be something simple such as a candle, flowers, chocolates. While it’s not necessary to send a gift to celebrate a launch or a business milestone, it’s a really nice thing to do and a thoughtful way to let make your clients have the best experience while working with you.

3. Ask for feedback and stay in touch.

Check in with your clients and ask for feedback! Make adjustments where necessary. They will feel seen, heard, and valued. It is our job to make sure that we are serving people fully and where we can help them.

4. Create a product suite that is built for retention.

Be sure that you are being mindful of how people can continue to work with you after they are done with one package. As a service provider, you can take on a different role if it is something you are offering, and help them grow. As a coach or consultant, you can have a bigger package allow you to serve them deeper after they are done with the first package. It is also ok to ask for referrals when you are done working together.
